Meet Omelet she is quite small. She is mostly white with some brown stripes and brilliant blue eyes. Her fur is generally short, but you can see in the picture that she has some longer hairs too. She has pointed tufts of hair on her ears and a blunt tuft of fur at the end of her tail. Omelet is very friendly. She doesn’t mind being picked up and held for a few minutes. She often hops into her foster’s lap for a few minutes at a time while he’s working. She purrs whenever she’s given attention and enjoys head scratches. Omelet does not like belly rubs, even if it appears that she wants one. She is also playful at times. She is not fussy eater. She eats dry food but seems to prefer wet food of all kinds as well as the moistened kitten food we put out for her babies. She has hissed and growled at our vacuum and when she senses our resident cats outside her room. We will see in the next few weeks if they can be introduced. She is otherwise very quiet and has been content with us from the start. Omelet is a perfectly lovely kitty. She immediately took to the litter box. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
