Hello? Can you help me? I ended up in this stupid pound and when nobody claimed me they said my time was up. I'm really not ready to say goodbye so my gaurdian angel contacted MARS and they promised to help.

I'm a really great girl. Affectionate, sweet, loyal, trusting, loving and grateful. I am SO grateful to be saved. Will you please help? I just want a place to call my own and someone to love me.

Here is an update from Aida's foster family:

Aida is a wonderful dog, now that she is finally feeling better. She is gaining a little weight everyday and her energy level has returned. She gets along well with all the family; 2 family dogs, 2 foster dogs and 2 family cats. She likes to be around her humans as much as possible and is starting to sleep in the bedroom on the floor at night. She makes friends quickly at the dog park and also likes to try, but doesn't succeed much, to get the Frisbee from our dog. She would probably do well playing Frisbee on her own, in fact last night at the park she did manage to catch it in the air a couple of times. She met a few children yesterday and was more than happy to let them pet her. The one time she did get out the door, when I was going out, she ran straight to the truck, I guess she wanted to go for a ride and walk. She is healing well and we are working on sitting, we try to get all our dogs to sit before we cross the street on walks. She will however sit and lay down in the house when told. She would do great in an obedience class and aims to please.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
